Default 04 4.8 Engine Gains and tips

Hello i have just purchased a ton of comp cam engine components for my silverado. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on the install and maybe how much horse power i could be expecting? Thanks heres a list of the stuff i got...

- 04 LS2 Heads
- Comp Cams Rockers (13755-KIT)
- Comp Cams Springs (26918-16)
- Comp Cams Hydrolic Roller Lifters (850-16)
- Comp Cams Pushrods (7955-16)
- Comp Cams Timing Chain (7153)
- Comp Cams Camshaft (54-452-11)
Camshaft Specs
Valve Lift: Intake-0.520 Exhaust-0.524
Duration At 0.006 Tappet Lift: Intake-266 Exhaust-270

Valve Timing At 0.05
Intake: Open -5 Close 37
Exhaust: Open 47 Close 11

These Specs Are For The Cam Installed At 111 Intake CL
Duration At 0.05: Intake-212 Exhaust-216
Lobe Lift: Intake-0.308 Exhaust-0.308
Lobe Separation: 115

The build of all this is going to take place this sunday so it would be greatly appreciated if i could get any tips abouts this or opinions it will help. Thanks!

im not 100% but i dont think those are the best heads to get for you app., unless you got a really good deal on them or something

I did get a really good deal for them, only 3500 miles off of an 04 GTO for 300$ how could i pass that up!!

THe LS2 is a 6.0 and the combustion chamber is a bit larger than the 4.8's. You will very effectively reduce your compression ratio.

Yea they were assembled, but i took there old spings off and put on my new .600 inch springs. The casting number is 243

It that bad that my compression ratio goes down the combustion chamber on my trucks stock heads are 61cc but the ls2 heads are 64.5cc.

those are LS6 heads

unless can tell me that LS2 heads and LS6 heads are the same casting # which i doubt

good price for the heads anyhow

Yea they are the same ive done my reaserch the only difference between ls6 heads and ls2 heads is that the ls6 heads have sodium filled valves. I got that from the GM Performance parts catolog, they also have the same casting number.
