Ok, I have some questions. First, what kind of times do you think i will run stock? What kinda times do you think i will run with the following mods? Note- I am keeping the factory exhaust for now, i am thinking about getting a sts. I dont see any point in replacing the exhaust if i get the sts kit.

04 Denali-6.0/4L65E
4.10 gears/AWD

Mods i already have of my old truck to put on.

Edelbrock Ceramic coated shorties/ K&N FIPK/ MSD 8.5mm wires/ As well as i will be putting a nelson performance 93 hot tune in.

You wont need geras either with the STS kit. Save yourself the $1500 on gears and do a fuel system so you can run 10+psi

Might as well leave the stock exhaust manifolds on if you're getting the sts kit.

Yeah, you might as well just sell the other stuff and buy a fuel system and either an intercooler or methanol injetion. LOL

You can use headers with STS. I dont think shorties are the way to go, but headers would work great with the STS.

no it has 4.10 from the factory, right now the denali is all stock. The mods i listed are sitting in my garage from my previous truck. I am just wondering what it will run stock as well as what it will run with the mods i listed. Stock is 325/370 hp/tq i believe

No one has any documentation yet to show any good results from having headers vs. stock manifolds. In theory it won't help and any gains will probably be marginal at best. *shrug*

As for what the truck will run stock. It really depends on what track you race at. Near sea level with a decent DA a low low 15 isn't out of the question. Get up there in elevation or a bad DA and you might get into the mid 15s.

Do you think its possible to see 14's with those mods? I am at 1900 feet above sea level.

Its just logical. If your pushing more air in your going to need to move more air out. Some good headers would be worth LOTS of power on a turbo motor. Especial one like the STS. Documented or not, better breathing exhaust on a turbo will yield exponential increases.

I already have the shorties so i will most likely put them on. Either that or i will sell them. I need to get ahold of allen to get a tune.
