Default 04 gto ls1 or 01 hd 6.0

i have been shopping for a new motor to hurry up and throw in my truck to get it back on the road. I found a long block 5.7 out of a 04 gto with 20k miles for $1500 and i found a 01 6.0 complete pull out of a 4x4 2500 hd. for $1350 the truck was wrecked. It was also used as a work truck. The 5.7 was in a gto that got a 6.0 built and stuffed. What would you guys go for? If i go for the 5.7 will my 5.3 injectors work for now? will everything like my water pump and crank pulley work and blah blah blah? i know my intake and what not will swap right over. just wanted some of you guys input. thanks

Everything will swap over on either.

What is the mileage on the 6.0L? Also, are you considering going to an even bigger motor later down the road? It's a coin flip to me.

If you want to do a bigger motor later down the road I'd go 6L, if not I'd go with the ls1. Can't go wrong with either one IMO.

dont mess around and go with the LS1..... it has less miles, newer and it will run very similar to the 6.0, the 6.0 is too old and more miles... plus the LS1 is lighter, which will almost makeup for the difference..

and yes everything off you truck will bolt right up to the LS1 block for sure.... good luck on the swap and let us know...
