Default 05 E-fan and cheap CAI install pics on my Escalade ESV.

So i've added a couple more mods to my truck. Bought some slightly damaged 05 E-fans on ebay for cheap, got the harness from Derek and bought a cheapo CAI off Ebay too. Probably gonna wrap the pipe in heat wrap and throw a thermostat in it before i hit up the track again.

Which CAI is that? Is that the $75 dollar no namd kit? I don't think the stock airbox and intake tube is very good. Just by simply popping the air filter lid open on the dyno I picked up 10rwhp and 6 rwtq. My dyno guy estimated another 10 rwhp to be gained with replacing the stock intake tube,

So the fitment and quality is pretty good? That's the cheapest CAI I've seen yet! No sure what's up with that big metal thing sticking off the pipe though.

Do you think you got a good gain in power from it? On the dyno I picked up 10rwhp from just popping the air filter lid open on the stock intake.

Yeah- I hate that belly in the tube. I'm OK with the box; if just popping the lid get you 10hp. But that tube, now that I have room afforded by the efans..........
