05 e-fans nelson harness need to wire in toggle
Hey I have a 2001 tahoe that I put the 2005 E-fans into. I ordered the nelson harness with the toggle switch and he sent me the standard one. I don't want to go thru the sending stuff back thing. So I wanted to know how do I wire in a toggle switch in it myself? I have to send my tuned Pcm back to Jesse so he can turn on the blue 42 pin. I just should have do that in the first place but I just got a really good deal on the fans. Any help will be great.

does it matter what gauge the wire is and does it have to have a inline fuse and what amp switch? I have alot of this stuff in the garage just want to make sure I hook it up right with the correct stuff.
Thanks

Yes it comes ready to plug into the fans you got to email him and tell him what fans you got and what it's going into. The harness that I got ran me 99.00 shipped. Also if you donot have your PCM tuned to have the #42 pin on the blue side activated the harness will do you no good. Try this (wait4meperformance) web site Jesse can do this to your PCM for 1/4 the price all the other guys are doing it for. PM me for his phone number since I can't post it or the mod will lock this thread.

On mY GMC I have A/C with the 05 fans and Nelson harness,
Before the wire went into the PCM I (T- Taped) it and ran into the dash to a 2 way swicth, The other end of the swicth was grounded12v-,
When the swicth is activated(grounded) both fans come on low speed.
I believe I used 14 awg the same size as Nelsons wire, its only a millivolt signal anyways.
I did it a little differant on my Step Side,
I used the A/C lead on Nelson harness to a swicth, Than i took the 12+ and - from the cigrette lighter and ran it to the swicth, The A/C trigger requires a 12v+ mv lead to activate it.
So when that swicth is turned on 1 fan comes on high. Both on high with the pcm activated as well.
hope this helps;
here's the swicth on the GMC;
