Where did you get the LS1 Fans? I have been wanting to get a set of electric fans for a while now, just debating on which ones to go with. You say they fit like they were designed for it? Was there any custom fitting that you had to do? Also, what about relays or switches for it. I too have a Nelson tuned PCM so it shouldn't be a prob right?

I am new to this board and am wondering who is Nelson
I too am looking at putting the LS1 fans on my z71 but need a little more info on the PCM programming. Is this something that the dealer can do? I have some family connections there
Thanks

Nelson refers to Allen Nelson who does custom tuning for trucks. Allen (or any other tuner who can tune truck PCM's) can set the fans to turn on in the PCM program. They are turned off by default in most '04 and earlier trucks. Not sure if the dealer could do this... somebody else can probably answer that for you.

Dealer probably could, but won't. Plus, a dealer tune or re-flash wouldn't be near what you could get from Allen Nelson or Westers or MTI or the likes of those guys.

can't. there isn't a provision for it and the gm department that does all of the programming won't give out anything that isn't factory or an option on that specific model. they have their hands tied on programming. used to be part of my job.
