Default 05 Stock EFans

I was wondering if the stocks efans on a 05 move enough air? I have left the hood up till they kick on and it doesn't seem like they do.

well they come STOCK so they must move at least a little air if GM is putting them in 10's of thousands of trucks and giving them large towing capacities.

It would seem a bit silly on GM's part if they sucked right?

I have had mine about a month and I have not hooked up the high relay yet. I have not needed it. My truck runs cooler with the 34" radiator and 05 fans than it ran stock !? I didn't even change the thermastat. I am considering putting the pcm switched wire to a toggle and running the high side that way. Btw, its been 99* here some days.

I run a nelson harness that uses a high and low setting.
Ac on = low
pcm up to temperature= low
pcm detects high temp/and a/c on = high.

I think thats the way it works, like I said mine are only wired to the a/c right now and they cool plenty and don't draw much amps.
