Torque converters are great for launches from a dead stop, they also help by keeping the revs in the powerband during shifts and even when rolling on without a downshift.

Torque converters boost acceleration in around driving and not just from a dead stop.

i gotta 02" Z71 Tahoe going in SRP in cincinnati for custom mild cam, valvetrain, LT's, custom exhaust, intake, custom TC, and tune. Then once it's lifted by next spring the gears are next.

I tow, so I've been really wanting to keep my mechnical fan, and I'm planning on going no higher than a 2400 on the TC. I'll let you guys know my numbers on the cam when I get it back for the shop/dyno.

With some 4:10's, I'm hoping to stay in that 8grand range for towing.
