the '04 unit will fit an 06, but not the other way around - the difference is the clutch fan/ shroud on the 99-2004, the 2005+ have the electric fans and the intake tube is straighter because it doesn't have to go around the shroud.

the pulleys are the same

The heat shield may need modification...when I installed 05 efans and a 34" rad on my 99, my K&N heat shield did not clear the radiator. It was a simple fix with some mild fabrication and cutting, but not an exact bolt in.

ok, thanks. also i think he has the heavy duty alt. on the 06, and the pulley is really small, it looks smaller than the ud pulley on mine, should we just leave that one on there and just put the crank pulley on? i will be helping him install the pulley set and the cai kit on the 06, is there any thing else thats different from my 04. his e fans are a little different but they look like they come right out, is there any trick to them?

thanks in advance for the help.
