Question 07-09 heads on a 2000 4.8.

Ive read on here that the reason the new 4.8 5.3 trucks run so good is because theyre running the z06 heads (not sure of the casting #) from the dealer. Would these heads fit a 2000 4.8? Would it be worth it or should i look into some from patriot or someone else. This is just an idea. Thanks Guys.

Thanks, actually this might be going on a 01 5.3 that im getting. Are the L92 heads too much for the 4.8 and 5.3?

706s and 862s are the same besides one has a smoother casting.
