07 Denali gear question
Hey guys this is my first post on this forum. I've got the 07 Denali AWD. I put on a K&N intake and tuned it with HP tuners. On the AWD dyno it put down 303rwhp. I took it to the track to dial in the shift rpm's and the best on the 85+deg night was 14.54@96mph. It has a 3.5" factory exhaust and looks like it would be hard to beat. I think the biggest gain in performance would be upgrading the gears from 3.42's to 4.10 as this motor really needs to rev. My best 60' was a 2.22 and that's will all torque management off. If I upgrade gears I need to do both diffs obviously, are there any concerns I should have? I know the 6L80E has a pretty low 1st and 2nd gear and the 'Vettes with this tranny have really tall rear gears but it feels like this truck would be way faster with shorter gears. Right now at 75mph in 6th the motor's turning around 1900rpms'. Thanks in advance.

gears would get expensive on a AWD truck for such a small gain, id go with forced induction if you really want to play, there is a magnacharger kit coming out for the 6.2- its pretty expensive but its the best bang for your buck IMO
you shoulda gained about 15HP atleast with the tune, with the training ive done on the 6.2 is that the only difference in the escalade and denali 6.2 is the tune, and i beleive the caddy has around 15HP more- dont hold me to it that training was like 6 months ago
