Default 08 silverado owners or whoever knows how to do this!

I bought an after market antenna for my truck bcs i hate the long a$$ stock one. But as i was unscrewing the antenna the the screw just broke off on the base. So i bought a new base from the dealership and idk how to put in on??? anyone ever have this problem or has anyone ever had to replace a base for there antenna?

I just wouldn't use an antenna in general, if possible listen to an iPod or CDs rather than radio.

Unless your stations are much better than ours
Good luck

Unplug it from behind the dash, unhook the cable from any retainer clips also behind the dash, hook and tape a piece if steel mechanics/bailing wire to it, unbolt it from the cowl panel and pull it through, hook and tape new cable to the wire you pulled through and reverse procedure...or take it to the dealer and let them do it, it's a pita!

I hate the antenna too , that's the first thing that came out of the truck since new, haven't listened to radio ever since.
