I don't get why you would spend the money to build this engine if you are trying to tow 10k, just buy a diesel and move on lol

IDK. My introduction into diesel has arguably been with the worst diesel ever made, but I am not impressed. Off idle torque is 0 and fuel economy is **** and throttle response is ****. Both my 5.3 and my 6.0PSD tow 5500lbs about the same imo. Gas motor with a roots is where its at, for what I want to do

Tahoe weighs 5920, Van weighs 8860 but both feel slow as **** with 5500lbs behind them

Big block duallys were rated for 10k+ and made 290hp and 410tq. I have a feeling this 427 will make more than that.

Oh no no I'm not saying it wouldn't do it I'm just saying I feel like this is a roundabout way of doing something people do every day.

Just my opinion though.

yeah, i'd probably buy a 6.5 or even 6.2 chevy diesel before the 6.0 powerstroke ... okay, probably not the 6.2

pulling my previous truck home (6500lb trailer) with my 6.7 cummins almost felt like nothing was back there.
he could totally pull 10k with this 427 so long as it's geared correctly, but if that trailer is the end goal, there are cheaper/easier ways to accomplish it.

Lol it definitely wouldn't be a daily occurrence probably like once in a blue moon just a thought I already have the block anyway so definitely not going diesel

Yeah that is all I meant by that. Of course the 427 could tow I just figured it would be less hassle/cost to do a diesel.

You could always sell the block to me

If you built a signature in your settings, we might not ask questions like this:
. We still don't know what your truck is, so keep in mind that if you don't have the biggest radiator that the factory installed, or an even better aftermarket one, you will overheat pulling such a big load.
. In addition, don't forget to plan to upgrade your fuel pump.
Again, maybe I am wasting my time, but you are holding your cards close to your chest as to what your truck is and what mods it has.
