I have put Richmonds in all my rides and never had a problem. I have a set of Richmods in my drag car that never makes less the 550tq at any point in the RPM band, and never had any problems. Richmond is a good product.

I went to 4.10's from 3.42 and it is much better diver now on city and freeway. The 4.8 alway been a bit low on the tq and the steeper gears help make up for it. I havent been to the track but Im hopping to drop a few 10th's With the 3.42's it would hold first at WOT untill close to 60MPH

A 4L60E has a 3.09 first gear and together with a higher stall give you a false sense of power but when you hit second and then 3rd and the stall is gone, the 3.73 is a boat anchor is a big truck and a 4.10 or 4.56 comes into its own. It todays trucks with OD I would not even own one with a 4.10 even if I never planed on taking it to the strip.
Confused me too. So you would own a truck with 4.10s or you wouldn't? The double negative got me confused in that last sentence.

I like my 3.42's

Rockin' the 23mpg
That second gear downshift to pass cars at 65mph is really cool.
I doubt that could happen with 4.10's

Go with the 3.90's dude, you'll love em. It sounds like you want to comprimise between street (3.73) and strip (4.10).

if you plan on driving your truck and not using as toy like some ppl do you will not want the 410s knock 2 - 3 mpg off if drive 70 mph compared to 373...

ive said this before i get 19 mpg city 22 hwy out of my 4.8 4x4 w a 373........have friend who has gmc same config as mine (4.8 rcsb 4wd) w/ 410s he is lucky to get 15 in the city and 19 on the hwy.......my truck is my only vehicle (my grandprix is undrivable right now) so i will keep my 4.8 and 373s and get better mpg than most v6s

This is rich.... So my 2000 K3500 gaser that get 16 to 17 on the hiway with 4.10's is going to get 19 to 20 with 3.73's? Get real as you do not have a clue what you are talking about.
