Default 1.75" dynatechs vs. smaller primary long tubes!!

Im building a lq9 with a mild cam and some mildly ported 317's on it. Its gonna be a torquey DD with a 4l60e with all the important goodies to get by for a while. I currently am running 1.75" dynatech long tubes and y pipe with cats. From what ive read they are a bit large for the 5.3 I am currently running. With the LQ9 and 208/214 cam i am installing, are the dynatechs gonna be too large of a primary for what I am trying to achieve. Torque!!!!! Should i just go back to my stock manifolds and y-pipe, or try and pick up a set of doug thorley tri-y headers???

you got an expensive set of headers, keep them and use them, you can always compremise on the pipe sizing of the exhaust if you feel you lost to much torque, but personally i think you'll be fine

these motors have high flowing heads and can use every bit of the inch and 3/4 header. I just got a set of arh 1 3/4 for my 5.3 tahoe with bolt ons and are great for it. In the past I have put same size on late lt1 camaros and picked up torque and hp over a smaller 1 5/8 similar header so use what you got and will work out good.
