Default 108LSA cam running on stock tune

Just got finished installing a cam in my truck.
Specs: 214/212 .600''/.571'' 108LSA

Haven't even started dicking around with the tune yet. Taking it to a buddies house tomorrow to mess with it. He has that Moat's controller with the real time tuning.... Try and get it dialed in.

On the crank up, you have to give it some throttle to keep it from dying. As soon as it comes to life, I can let off the throttle and let it idle. It's idling at about 750 in gear and 900 in Park. Drove it around and it did fine. No loss of power as far as cruising goes. Actually feels a bit snappier off idle but once you roll into it, about the same.

I'll get some videos up tomorrow.

What's the rest of the specs on your truck. What size rear tire you running?

Im sure Im not telling you anything you dont know but I wouldnt lay into much or at all untill I scannned that bitch! Hope it works out for you! Ill have a new big cam(TSP Torquer V.2 on a 113LSA) in Friday and I can onl pray mine runs as good as yours sounds before tuning! Yeah right! I can pray I guess.

that cam should give you plenty of off idle hp and tq, not much mid range but good topend. but what do I know lol, glad to see it all coming together for ya.

Bout damn time Kyle. My cam is very similar to that I have noticed that with my truck as well as far as the midrange. I have yet to run a 93 octane tune and install my gears but im hoping to get rid of my midrange lull.
How does it sound? My lope is barely noticeable.

Why run such a narrow LSA on a small cam ?? It seems to me that by the time you've reached an RPM that takes advantage of the narrower LSA you've run out of cam....
