Default 110 LSA cams get in here

I run a 224/224 110lsa cam and I know the springs are supposed to be pretty loud but I think there is also another tick coming from the valvetrain. What size pushrods are you guys running? I know there are a few 224/226 110 and 224/228 cams out there. Are you running stock length pushrods? My valvetrain is horrendously loud and I want to make sure that I'm running the correct length pushrods. I might end up buying a pushrod length checker just to be safe

im running a 5.88 lift cam with stock length pushrods and i have a slight tap. my base circle on the cam is like .050 smaller than stock too. i dont have much preload on the lifters is where my tick is comming from and probably yours too. this has nothing to do with the lsa of a cam its all the base circle.

I'm not running the stock length because my heads are milled .025 so I had to get a checker. The valvetrain is going to be somewhat loud but not a "tick". Check your push rod length, loose rocker and for a broken spring or something to that sort.

Hope this helps..........

check the base circle of your cam Kyle... measure, then order hardened pushrods.

I have hardened 7.4s right now from Thunder. I'm also going to try moving to a heavier weight oil to see if that helps with the noise a bit
