Not necessarily. By powerband being bigger do you mean spread out? Im no cam expert by any means and you got two of the best on this site in this thread, Im slowly working my way towards knowing as much as them. I was just speaking form personal experience with my old 5.3 and that comp grind.

I was just throwing the stuff out I dont have my lobe sheets in front of me the lift on the xfi might not be right.

Edit: comp lobe # 3014/3035 218/224 .605/.600 (1.7 rocker) Id put it on a 110/108 0 overlap @ .050 it would make alot down low and pull up top hard
good drivability

This is the closest I could get with comp stuff or put an xer on the exhaust #3722

ok my last question:

I did the math using that calculation and that cam has -1* of overlap. The tr220 on 112 lsa has -4*. How much of a difference are those 3*.

crane cams
intake: hr-216/344
exhaust: hr-222/344 put em on a 110/108
.004 277/283
.585/.585 gross lift (1.7 ratio)
-1 overlap @ .050

In my estimation this is the closest I have come to an all around great street/strip cam for what all the guys on here are doing, this is considering an lm7 with 10.5-11:1 SCR stock head ports, truck intake and small diameter long tube headers, open exhaust, 3:73 gears, 2600-3000 stall speed

Sportside: I knew I had seen those lobes somewhere just had to dig for them, I have never tried this cam so Id like to see a cam card on the lobes if anyone has it(wondering about curtain area)
