Aww Naww... post it up! I promise, I'll hold my BS flag behind my back,a nd let you explain first. I, maybe not others, will give you a shot at clarifying things before I whip da flag out at full attention. If it's anything lower than 12.05s with about 3900# race weight @ 50* outdoor temp, we'll just take you out back for a lil target practice. Ha Ha Ha...

Hey, litreddevil..... what ya think about dat?!?!?!

I know that it sounds like I'm making up a bunch of excuses but it's the truth!!!! My wife and I are going to get a digital camera or a camcorder soon but this is the truth fellows. I knew I shouldn't have brought this up!!!

closetredneck you ran your at the track yet?

Get a 3200 converter, weight reduction and you will be real close if not there with the mods you have. With a cam as well lol.
I'm putting my Dart heads(I've had them for about a month now and I wish I had a cmera so I can show them off), cam.....basically the whole top end, light weight rotating drivetrain and brakes, retune, forged billet flexplate, ET streets on the stock wheels, 4:10 gears with the tru-trac locker and major weight reduction!! I think I can do it. I can't believe I'm telling all of my secrets!!

James

Oh yeah, a 3400 futtle stall too.

I went 13.78 with the 31's on the front. I have a cammed LQ4 had a 3000 stall. I plan to be in the 12's this year on motor, but as of now the only motor work is the cam, and the only bolt ons as of that time was LS1 fans. I have a few plans for this year though.

PM your time. I believe it can be done (12;s on the 5.3) cause there are a few 5.3 2wd's runnin in the 12s on motor, and as close as I can figure we (4wd's) are anywhere from .25-.5 sec slower due to parasitic loss through the drivetrain, and the additional weight.

well as far as i know i have the fastest N/A 5.3 Z71 cam only. 13.64@98.30 on street tires, in 60 degree weather and a fouling plug. i plan on heading back when the weather gets in the 40's during the day. doesnt look good though! anyway i think my truck has a 13.30 in it with cold weather like that and it running right. this was with normal weight reduction like no tailgate, no spare. now if i could get ahold of some shorter slicks then i think that 12.90's are very possible. we'll just have to see!
