that dyno is silly.

top end pull is crazy, 30mph punch is nuts and i mean nose bleed neck snap nuts. hole shot is ok but lots of wheel spin. i think the hardest hit is a 30roll punch.

the first run is last year when i ran the 10.91 at the track. if i dumped the extra weight i should easily have a quicker et than my previous best and if i could hook(and not break) i think i would be seeing 10.3x gtechs or about mid 10's at the track. it is cold out so to get these times i would probably need an ice box or a little more boost.

soo, my $.02, i think 10's on boost only will be a cinch. with good traction and probably some kind of work to the front end 10's on pump maybe. mid 10's almost seem likly when i turn it up still boost only. and when all the moons alighn and allah is looking down on me kicking out a 9sec 1/4 might just happen.

Damn, everytime I read a new thread by you Jim, it just gets faster and faster. 10.6 is insane, I still think you need the T88 though! I feel really good in saying sooner or later your gonna be in the 9's.

I have to agree with you about the dyno. I think you were spinning, or it could've been operator error. Either way the 4.8 is clearly a superior motor. J/K!

Are going to give it a little squeeze to get into the 9's if it doesn't do it on just boost? What are your plans for getting out of the hole? Are you going to run DR's on all 4? It seems like you have at least a couple tenths left in your 60'. Good luck and happy hunting.

i am going to leave the nitrous off for now, wait and see what happens when i turn it up higher. there are many things i need and a cage is one of them.

here is the way i see things. i will break parts for sure if i just get more traction and turn it up. i need to hook up the speed input to my boost controler. add traction and dial in some 1.60's or so(keep boost down some). what ever power level that is, then after the 1-2 shift add as much power as i dare to try. i should have some speed rated tires and a drive shaft loop by then. i think i will have to just bite the bullet and toss a cage in there even though i hate the thought of it. it is really geting fast and it would be nice to not have to be sneaky at the track.
