I did the BB mod on mine, and I love it! It takes a lot of summer hard driving to get the temp to move too hot. It stays a lot cooler which should help some for performance.

Hey 01 what temperature does your truck run at? I want to do it, but no one has a BB. I will send you a stamp or a dollar if you would mail me a BB the same size as you used in yours. Come on help a brother out.

Forget the BB.... get a screw or nail a cut a section out...
Then you can make it bigger or smaller depending on what temp you wanna run.
Took me 2 tries and I got my truck at 175 where I want it...

Cash... I actually dont know exactly what temp it runs at, but it is always at the big line to the left of the center line. I am guessing its around 170 or so?? I had a hard time finding a BB as well... there seemed to be 2 different sizes or something <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> . If I had any more I would mail it out lol, but seriously... goto Wal-Mart and spend a buck for a box of it, its a real cheap mod!
Good luck,

yeah thats 185......
the bb size recommended (according to these boards) is .177.
My water pump went poo poo and took a long **** not long ago, so I went ahead and took it to the dealership, and after some obvious miscommunication guess what they forgot to keep......
imo 175 is a little too cold, my goal is 185 like before

My truck runs @ 180* with a 160* thermostat I was expecting 160* but wth I didn't notice any perf.differance. The only tuff part was prying off the hose. Jim
