18lbs on pump gas and the 4.8 is still holding

Smile 18lbs on pump gas and the 4.8 is still holding

Got the boost up to 18 lb's on LTR's truck today.It wouldn't hold 18 on the dyno but it does on the street This is done with his 8.5-1 shortblock,small Cam,STS GT67,custom front mount intercooler - No Meth, 93 octain pump gas

Thats what I said. I wanted to do atleast a 6.0 but Matt insisted to keep it a 4.8l. It was actually more expensive to build a Forged 4.8

The truck pulled 498hp/550tq at 15lbs on the dyno,so I figure 18lbs should be 560-580hp The motor could take 20lbs but the Turbo won't push it

We don't want it to lag anymore so a bigger turbo will have to wait. Last time at the track it ran a 13.1 at 114mph with a 2.4 60'.The truck was pushing through the beams. We've since installed a line loc and new rear brakes.Should be hitting the track next week again.
