Hi, I'm Greg and I spent $100 bucks on a TBS and now use it because I have other paperweights that cost less.

I just don't think they do anything, and I still have it on the truck. I have taken it off and on and can tell no difference that I could attribute to just the TBS. I don't believe in the gas mileage theory either. To many variables between tanks. Time, air temp, idle time, distance, a/c or heater, same route, same gas. I track my mileage to and average about 18 mpg over the course of multiple tanks. But one trip on the highway (loaded bed) I get 20@85 avg speed (300 miles non stop) and the next (empty bed) I get 19 at 65 avg speed (300 miles non stop) but due to the differences in air temp the higher speed (lower temp) was better MPG when the lower speed (and less wieght) should be in theory not factoring in temp. Just my 2 cents. Of course I specialized in beer, not compressible fluid flow dynamics.

The only place where these spacers were effective was on the older 350s which used a TBI. I have a 1990 350 and the device does help. On these engines any increase in plenum space is greatly appreciated and for sure any device that helps to mix the air fuel better(after is has splashed off the butterfly) aids the engine. Throttle response, mid-range torque and cold weather starting ( it is currently -25C) are all improved on the older "wet" intake systems.

Tony, I didn't say I gained a "TON of power", and no, more HP doesn't equal better mpg. I said all the gains were small but they were there. I've had my truck long enough to know when a part seems to work and when it doesn't. I still feel it works, period! Items that haven't worked in my opinion are, a high flow air filters (lose low end), Caspers TPS enhancer (didn't do a thing), Jet's TB spacer (lost mpg and power), several mufflers, the list goes on. I can't prove to you that it works other than what I feel, prove to me that it doesn't! Obviously, I can't get as techinical as you, I don't have a degree in fluid dynamics. But that also doesn't mean you're right and I'm wrong, you have your opinon and I have mine.

Guys I am feeling a bit of negative energy in this room... We are not here to bash people for their thoughts on products they have bought or to tell them how stupid they are for buying them. Now it could have been put " you know i bought one and it didnt work for me, but hey if it works for you then great" . Lets not bash , instead lets lift up our fellow brothahs and help them out. Now with all that said you all can carry on...

The colder weather from Sept on can explain the differences too.
How about 3 back to back chassis dynos without spacer and 3 dynos with..

Tony - I like that other idea you had for the TBS. Psst...Psst Now stop causing trouble in the truck section.

Every one has their opinion, some don't like to be disaggeed with and then the bashing starts.

I think I explained my case. But I'll tell you what, since I have one just for arguments sake, I'll dyno a before and after on the 8th if I get the time to swap depending on my place in line. How's that? But only 1 before and 1 after. I'm not paying for more than 2 pulls.
