Okay, so what kind of an effect will the cam have on idle besides having a hell of a cool lope to it? Should it idle at normal or just below normal? One of these days we'll get your cam in, don't worry

Well the cam really doesn't change idle RPM's to much if any. What it does it open and close intake and exhaust valves at different durrations. A really big lift cam will also give you the big bad *** lope but will totally kill your bottom end. You need to look for a cam that will help your bottom end and mid-range, and if you like the lope I guess you need to go with the 112 lsa. I haven't seen any like that one on here, but there are quite a few cams for sale in the classifieds that will work for what you want to do. I still think the 2001 cam might be what you want?

Okay, I am trying to compare cams to what I have so does anyone know the specs on a cam from a 2002 4.8l? I know it is the same cam that the 5.3 and 6.0 have.

I once tried putting a textbook under my pillow to try to absorb the info via osmosis...didn't work as planned.
