For me it was to get a 6700lb Suburban into the 14s. That goal was met with a 14.5 @ 92.43 pass. Now I'll either retire the truck from track use of continue on to the 13s. Haven't decided on that one yet

2002 8.1 Suburban - 14.54 @ 92.43 - 4.10 - Polished Whipple supercharger/Intercooler, The Other Guys long tube headers, !speed govenor, !torque management, HD hood, grill and bumper, custom 2 tone paint, Precision grill, Muth Signal Mirrors, Xenon High Intensity Headlights with Stage II high and low beams, PIAA airdam with 40 series driving lights converted to HIDs, Pioneer 7300 DVD system, Pioneer 12 disk changer, Pioneer AV switcher, Satellite tuner, Microsoft X-Box, Alpine screens and 22" Evolution Velociti 8 wheels

2002 8.1 Silverado HD - Volant induction, The Other Guys headers, Comp Cam and Direct hits ignition.

6" lift, 35" tires and Ed Wright programming coming soon!

well, where to start. 402 Cubic Inches 4" bore x 4" stroke lunati crank...both already purchased.

custom 4 link with coil overs and panhard bar, lowered truck 3/4.

detroit locker with 4.10:1s

finish the install on the ls6 cam, and probably go bigger by the end of the year. ported and polished heads and possibly ls6 aluminum intake. lose some weight with tail gate skin and rolepan...that's this next week though.

shift kit with torque management delete via: ls1 edit.

3600 stall

and i'll address all fuel system upgrades needed when they become present...i want 12s without the gas...then we'll see where the n2o may take us...i want to go with a direct port setup next instead of the GM EFI kit.

oh yeah...almost forgot...tranny cooler with fan and i bought some LS1 fans from a guy the other day and will probably put them on when i finish the cam install.

Matt
i just realized that was a 2002 mod goals list...my bad...all the ones i listed are my 2003 goals.

1999stepside - Well, about like I said in the post. The motor will probably be here around the end of the month, maybe early January. I have alot of the parts sitting around waiting to be installed also. I am going to upgrade the trans and rear once so those may run into next spring(rear anyway) The trans. I don't think is going to wait that long.

The motor has changed specs a few time due to my indecisive nature. The final specs. will be similiar to the above but, with a slightly smaller cam in the 236 duration range. It should still be pretty stout.

Hopefully, I'll get some time after the new year starts. Everybody wants construction work done before the first so they can write it off this year. Good for the wallet, bad for the body.

Thanks for asking about my project.

I just might get some 11's before Santa comes.Motor goes in now,Trany and 3600 Pro yank Extreme goes in on the 9th,then time for EDIT and we should be running on the 14th. Then it's time for a road trip. All goes good I'll break out the nitrous.

You know what, I think Oxidizer is going for a damn 10 sec. pass.

Well, I just hope to have my truck running with the 7.0L by the end of 2002. My eventual goal will be a mid 11's pass but, it will take some work and time to get it to that point. Maybe for early '03.

Motor

ARE iron 422 (4.03" * 4.125")
- Stage "Holy Sh*t" 6.0L heads
- 240/240 .645/.645 114 Cam
- ~10.8-11:1 cr
- Probably AS&M headers(nobody is interested in building bigger)

Fuel

- Boost a pump setup on WOT switch
- 41# injectors

Suspension

- Cal tracs
- Rear sway bar
- Hals

Weight reduction

I've found a few pounds here and there so far.

Wheels

- I think I'm going to see about having a set of Stock 1500HD wheels widened to accomodate a 10.5" slick.

This probably won't all happen by the end of '02 but, by next spring I hope to have everything finished.
