2003 1500HD needs some work

Ok so long story here. I have a 2003 Silverado 1500HD that has the LQ4 motor with the 4L80E transmission. The motor has 214k miles on it and I gradually lost oil pressure. I now have pretty much 0 oil pressure. I put a new oil pump in it along with a timing chain/gears and a water pump.
The last time I changed the oil I had a good amount of metal shavings on the drain plug.
I am looking to rebuild the motor but I also want to do some mods to it also but on a budget. I would like to bore it out a little bit and at the minimum do a cam swap. I pull a trailer 5 days a week so low-mid range power is what I am looking for.
Also heads, should I keep the stock heads and get them redone or find some different heads?
Thanks!
