LS6? Not on my budget. I've got so many (5) car intakes installed/laying around here it's hard to keep track. I think this one is from an F-body since the Vettes did not have the opening in the top, or vice-versa.

Took a test drive today for over 30 minutes- no whistle. The car does seem to be idling rougher though. I'm going to put in a stock PCV fitting to replace the one I drilled & see if this helps.

I'm getting over 16 MPG according to the odometer when I filled up. This includes a few higher RPM runs in 5th gear.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Glad that the whistle is gone What did you have to drill?

It was the PCV fitting in the valve cover- looks like a PCV valve but is hollow with a small hole in the bottom.

If you drilled that out, the engine will run rough since you now have a larger vacuum leak as opposed to a small hole that provides more of a controlled vacuum leak.

Yea, I especially like to see this since I'm a Chevy guy who's been working for either Toyota or Lexus for the past 16 years

GMCtrk,
You got that right! Not the first time either- fixed my weird tach issue in this car on tech.

icedenali,
It's even nicer to have it running & being able to drive it!
A little incentive for you:

I ran out of driveway LOL

budhayes3,
I feel your pain. I get the bum's rush on Supra and RX7 forums if I mention what is under the hood. The BMW and Datsun guys are cool for the most part.

yes i need few minor stuff and mapecuII tune. i'm just hoping it's not a cylinder head problem, because i'm having little issue with running idle now since the engine was dead for 3 1/2 yrs.

i love chevy too much but i can't officially drift with trucks. and my 240 is building for drift on track. not a lot of street ride although i will be testing for drag first and change my suspension setup to go drift.

so u gonna stay N.A. for ur supra? or get FI on it?
do u go supraforums as well?
