Where are you located? Most states allow one or two not readies, depending on the year of the vehicle, so it may not even matter (especially since the light isn't on/not pending a code).

It's really easy for me, but I wasn't talking about me. I'm talking about your average dude working on his truck in the driveway.

It is easy to diag for the most part, unless you have a leak so small it wont emit any smoke from the smoke machine.

Are you a tech btw?

my cousins sons truck just had this problem with his 05 truck the problem was at the tank the hose connections was rotted to the point half the metal was missing installed a new fuel bucket fixed it

might not be every once problem but its worth to drop the tank and take a look if nothing else worked

Just need to find someone with a scanner that can do the EVAP service bay test to make sure all requirements have been met to get the monitor to go through.

Welp... it passed... followed some procedures... i let the car warm up for ten min..de drove at a constant 65mpg.. etc... went to shop after. Couple hrs and passed.
