2009 sierra? any body tuned one up?
I have a 2009 sierra 5.3 no flex fuel that I put a cold air intake ,headers and a ls2 throttal body on it. In the process of get it tuned my injectors ran out of room. I tried ls7 injectors witch I know fit older years but doesnt fit the 09. I called this place and they told me theres no way i ran out of room.. the only way I could run out is with supercharger or turbos but i just think they dont know anything about the 09 bc there def. different. Has any-one ran into this problem yet? I still believe its the injectors but wanna know if someone has already ran into this problem...
So if this the injectors I am lookin for a stock set for this model truck and i will get them built.
Thanks

I wouldn't think its your injectors. I would guess you've added around 30 hp with everything + the tune, not enough to max out the injectors in my opinion.
If you are convinced they are the problem, you might just look for flex fuel injectors, instead of getting yours "built."

yeah the reason i think its the injectors the cycle duty was at 85% when I started to tune it.. The tune told me right away it was running real lean so we added more fuel and its was still runnin real lean. and so on.. tryin to 20% the truck fell on it face and the duty cycle was real high...
I was going to buy a used stock set of injectors and send them off.. what will the flex fuel injector do? herd they was even smaller not sure tho.

There is no possible way that you should have injecter issues with those few upgrades, I agree with Scott that there is some other sensor telling your PCM that you are running lean. To double check run it for a little bit with the setup that you have right now. pull a spark plug and pull the pre cat converter o2 sensor and see what they look like, that will tell you for sure.

no exhaust leaks the o2 sensors looked fine and the plugs looks a little on the lean side.. I dont know whats up with it.. I never would thought i could run out of injector either but i just dont know what the 09 injectors can handle the are nothin like my 2000 injectors in my old truck idn if they put injectors in with the cycle duty already high

get some carb cleaner and start the truck and spray around the tb see if the rpms change or anything. your cold air intake is it dry or the oil one? check your maf sometimes oil will get on the sensor and throw it out of wack
