20'S Mounted-Small Problem!!!!!
#13
A 295/40-20 is almost 13 inches wide.........with a tire that wide your probably rubbing on the fenderskirt near the back rear of the wheelwell (it happened on mine and I have a 4x4 that's ALOT taller than your truck), you have a couple of choices in fixing the issue.....one (the one I DON'T reccommend) is to trim the skirt to clear the tire, the other is to use zip-ties and a couple of small holes to "pull" the skirt up and out of the way

i agree and with the wider rim and spacing also makes a big diff i wanted 295/75r16 for mine they said it would be good on a 8" rim but the 10" rim they would rub.

Is the sound only coming from the front? If so, then your truck might be rubbing because of the nose dipping. Check the skirt for rubbing marks. You could get another shop to look at it to make sure the first one did everything right. Dont see how they didnt, but **** happens.

OK when the installer drove it after I brought it back he thought it might have been the brake shield but once he saw it it wasnt. My buddy drove it and I wasnt gonna go any further untill he looked at it. He is a tire guru he worked for Firestone in research etc.. and ahs worked at a few retailers and know a service manager at a chevy dealership. The tires I got arent new at all they maybe have 5k left on them. They were just to get me buy untill I get the ends together for some brand new ones. The tires are cupped(they make a slight U in the middle of the tire) and he said that is what is causing it to make that noise it just does it alot louder since Im braking and putting so much weight on the front tires. So does that explain what is happening a little better now? Thanks for the help guys and if you disagree with this please post! Any suggestions on a new tire.. I really liek that 295/40/20 maybe a Nitto

They cupped from not rotating or wrong tire pressure? When they get cupped, they do make noise. I had slight cupping on a a couple tires I had on a Mustang from not rotating too long and they made a little noise until they finally wore back right.
