all i have to do is put the crank pulley back on(PITA) and finish the last few springs, install rockers, pushrods, covers, the usual, and it's done, i installed a painted front cover in the install to match the valve covers i painted a few months back and the throttle body, it's all black now though, instead of the red you few that have seen my ride are use to. the valve covers are sweet, i think i might do the tops of the ridges on them red, but the damn coils are there so you can't see it. ANYONE THINK THIS THING IS GONNA IDLE??? considering stock tuning, stock converter, etc....

cam is finished, but i have a misfire, it's weird, i pulled the plugs after i got the misfire code and the tip of the first plug had kinda loosened itself off, so i screwed it back down and started the truck up and the misfire was gone, so i started to drive down the road and got about a mile before it came back...i think i just need to swap the plugs with some fresh ones and it'll be fine. the damn truck pulls like a train after about 3500RPM, it's like stock till then and then it just sits me back in the seat...it's great. the lope is very nice, already picked up two chicks with a friend earlier, they were sitting next to us and said "that's awesome, why is it making that noise?" once i get the misfire fixed tomorrow we're going to the track for some times!!!!!

I'm going to pass on the pistons. Need to concentrate my funds on the heads and a new cam for an LQ9. Maybe mil them down for some added CR and port them for added CFM.

well, the misfire isn't noticeable until i get on it a little then you can hear it. it is really bothering me this hole misfire thing...i really hope it's the plug(s) and it's all done with that. if it isn't the plugs i'm gonna change the plug wires since a few of them are pretty close to the headers i might change those next and go from there. it's all good either way i guess.

Any before dyno results or are you gonna get any new ones?

Can't wait to see track times.

Miss fires you can feel and not normally hear anything. Is it possible one of your spark plugs is not screwed in all the way, and that is what you are hearing and causing a miss?

ok...i figured it out, i changed the plugs and the back plug on the drivers side was junk, the electrode was bent and it was just fukt. anyways, put some new tr6s in it and it runs like a champ.
