Will this work in my truck(basically stock ECSB Z71 5.3) or would I be better off selling the cam for something smaller?

 

I would get the supporting mods like CAI, headers, and whatnot before you go with something with that much duration. That split is a little wide. Will this truck be just Naturally aspirated in the future or will you with a forced induction like a Turbo charger or a supercharger?

 

I've already got edelbrock shorties, it'll be N/A unless I run into some money.

 

I guarantee you he doesn't mean shorties. Shorties don't do a damn bit of good on our trucks. Sell those to somebody who knows nothing about performance and buy yourself some longtubes like pacesetters.

 

I'd guess the shorties would be better with the 218/228 split right? I only paid $160 for them so I could make a profit selling them if need be.
