220/220 vs 224 cam?
i have a 2004 sierra 5.3 z71 and im wanting to do a cam swap but not sure what one to go with? my mods are, CAI, CATBACK,LT'S,VETTE SERVOS, NELSON 91 TUNE, 3.73 GEARS. im thinking of running a 3000 cir d stall as well. This is my DD truck so i want something with street manors but wanna get alittle more power to the ground. thanks for the help guys.

ya doing alot of reading i hear about those cams alot they seem to do pretty we'll reason im thinking about the 224 or the v3 is just because ive called the company's and they talked highly about them? i was just wondering what everyones input is/was i applicate the help dude

That's what I run on my DD and I'm very happy with it...it all depends on the person really. There are guys on this site running around with 3800+ and lovin it, while others feel that 2600 is too much. I know that I could live with an extra 200-300 rpm and still be OK with it since I do have a back up beater with a V6 to drive also, but if this truck was all that I had, I feel that 3k is perfect for me

3k will be fine with a 220, but you'll probably need a higher stall like 3600 if you go 224.
Some people swear by the 212/218 cams though. Do you want a lopey sound or not? If so, look for the 112 LSA. There's lots of vids on youtube of idle sounds.
