kk so more or less ill cut the 224r out, but what about the cheater v3? i called thunder racing and thats what the guy said to get, also claimed id like it better than the 220. and it wasnt necessary to run a bigger stall cuz he claimed it made power off idle - 6800? any input thanks guys

Would the tsp220 and a 3k stall still tow 4k lbs? Prably a stupid question....forgive me. I just wanna have a nice lopey cam an not lose my towing. I tow my camper with this truck

All of the stall converter companies that I have talked to don't recommend towing with anything over a 2800 (the lower the better for reliability). I settled for a PI 2600 triple disk for my new turbo setup because I didn't want to lose my towing capabilities as well. I ran the same setup as you have with the tsp 220 112lsa cam for months with just the factory converter. Honestly it is completely drivable/tolerable with the factory converter. The only thing that sucks is that it is sometimes hard to get into the meat of the powerband if you are roll racing or from a dead stop. Just get to know your truck and manually put the truck into gear if you are racing so you can rev it up to were this cam takes off (3k-3.5k). IMO put the cam in first and see how you like the way it makes power and choose your stall based off that. I don't think you would see even a 1/8 difference in your quarter mile time from a 2600 or 2800 stall compared to a 3000.
