It will drive like crap on the stock tune but I would think that it would get you around.

you could drive it for the rest of yourlife like that if you dont mind it dying and having to two foot it everytime you come to a stop. I have a similar cam and you can drive it but its a PITA

I just put mine in and have it running about 700rpm and when I come to a stop it doesnt go dead. But If I take my foot off the break its like auto cruise controll. But the past 2 days havent been to bad.

I was goign to say

I have the 212-218-522-529-114 and I had to have my idle raised to 700 and alot of tuning....

But once the tuning is done You will love it...

Two footing it gets REALLY old after a while!!!

I ran my 219/228 with a stock 4.8 tune for awhile. It wasn't the most enjoyable experience, but it got me where I needed to go for the time being. It died at lights, and threw SES lights because I cracked the throttle blade.

I got this cam from you!!!

Yeah I dont know... We couldnt get it to stay cranked until 700 rpm..

My buddys Silverado SS he has I think 218-224 or something of that nature and they raised his to 750...

They would just keep cranking down....

Is it a tuning issue???

I ran my TR224 cammed 6.0L home from the shop on the stock 4.8L tune, and my legs were so tired. I had to keep the motor revved up at every red light, and it was spitting some mad smoke out the headers(didn't have my muffler setup on yet). When I could get it out on the open highway, it would do pretty good, but stop and go traffic was a total bitch. Thank God for custom tunes, eh?
