yea see you have a 5.7l if its a real ls1 not just ls1 based lm7 so im wondering what the 5.3l would shift at on a 224/224...talkin to john he recommended a 222/224 or something like that, i want a decent sized cam for my application that is makin pretty good power but at the same time i dont want to over stress my rod bolts shifting at 6700 or something i mean i know there are those few who shift at 7000 no problem all day but its not a good risk to take...any one else? thanks vicred, good info

all these worries about rod bolts i have not once seen on fail and ive seen motors reved to 7k or higher. trex car here was shifting at 7300 rpms and didnt have issues. ms3 car here shifting at 7k not one issue other cams similar no issues. not saying it never happend but i wonder what the true reason is why they are failing

with my 232/234 cam im shifting at 6500 rpms, since it doenst make power past 6400 rpms revlimter is set at 6800 rpms
