Still afraid of spinning it that high. Call me a wuss I guess. How is daily driving shift points? Have they been raised any to compensate for the movement of the powerband?

you shouldnt worry about spinning it too high until you start approaching 7000. daily driving shift point vary on throttle but arent too much different. whats the different between shift point and revlimiter...call me a noob i guess but why set your revs higher than your shift point if you wont go that high anyways

Not running a TR224, But with the TR220, 6400 is just right for me. I read about our intakes not making power, flow etc... Im not a big drag racer nor beat on my truck alot. But I tested different shift points at the track funny thing was my HP and TQ crossed at 5250 rpm and HP leveled off at 5800, But if I shift at 5800-6000 RPM I lose 3-4/10th's compared to 6400. I never tried going higher than 6400 cause im not sure how safe it is??

Valve float?, When the valves do not return to the fully closed position under high RPMs due to the inability of the valve springs to overcome the momentum of the valvetrain. Stiffer valve springs can help prevent this but only at the expense of increased friction losses. There has to be a RPM limit.

scsb 6.0L 112 shifting at 6500, rev limiter at 7000. Going to the dyno when the tranny gets back to see what adjustments I need to do, but it seems to be pulling past that easily on the gas.

ok i didnt know he was talkin about valve float, also when you start upgrading your springs to be soo stiff then you get to the point where the might accomidate for hgih lift but they are brittle at the same time so you would have to warm up the engine and fluids and all without starting her up and putting hte pedal to the floor. a 224 on a 6.0 shifting at 6500 seems pretty high with such a relatively mild cam vs your cubes. i know LS1's shift about 6500 with a cam like that and you have almost 25 more cubes then that. seems like you should be arounf 62or300 rpms but whatever works...maybe its the gas
