Default 224 IN A 4.8 IS SICK! BIGGER is BETTER!

I have been moaning like a little girl hating the fact that I installed this huge voodoo bumpstick in my little 4.8. You know the routine, no low end torque, comes in too late, no usable hp.

Friday the factory stall came back out & reinstalled the midwest. I had the flash upped about 500 rpms. After getting it back friday evening all I could do was pee myself! DAMN! This truck is soo nasty now, it flashes of the line n\a @ about 32-3500rpms. Rolling it flashes between 3800-4200 rpms.

This truck is fun as hell to drive, @ small amouts of throttle request it startstocreep off around 2000 rpms.Once you lay into it, well its gone!
This drivability is so much better now, tons of torque available! I would reccomend this cam & convertor combo to anyone with a 4.8. The cam really feels awesome around 4000 rpms.

I also changed the flowmasters out with a single magnaflow dual in/out with an internal xpipe. The truck is more civilized than ever, very smooth & quite.

Awesome... How is the driveability? Does it ever turn off on you in reverse?

I still can't believe you're running that on z06 valvesprings.

you are so jealous of my new throttle body spacer. Why mike? Is it that new whistle that it generates?

To answer your question, yes. I can feel probably a 50ftlb torque difference out of it. I probably gained a .5 second in the quarter

I been saying this all along. It's the wussy guys that don't wanna use a big stall that are not happy with the bigger cams.

A 226 is going back in the Z71's 5.3L for max N/A.
