the proper heads and intake manifold always help some , but for the cam your looking at or a 212/128 , your stock heads and manifold should be ok , but like I said some good heads never hurt ...dont quote me a circle d 278mm stall acts just like stock , i dont know how much you can tow with it but when I had mine I drove like stock load my truck , towed with it and It was just fine I would really look into them ....

I never drove a stall before, so if you leave the lights with grandma in feathering the gas it's like stock ?

It's a hair looser than the stock converter, not much and you get used to it in a couple of days. However it's only rated to tow 4000 lbs. That's the Circle-D anyway.

I have the 216/220 cam in the silvy along with the circle-d converter mentioned abouve but its stalled at 2400-2600...With 5k behind the truck it'll flash to 3k easy..Id be leary of towing 4k with a 3200 stall..JMHO tho
