How the hell is anyone gettin traction on the street? Seriously.
I got 342s and running pretty much stock and I still tear up my tires.
Am I the only one facing traction issues?
Im not expecting to slam the pedal to the floor and take off, I have to feather it even with my setup.

I know Chingon dosent get traction for **** with 20s, 3200 stall and 410s. And hes got a nice suspension setup also.
When Blown had his RCSB with the 6.0/radix/4l80/410s, psh he didnt even know what the word traction meant in any gear

Alot of you guys are running faster quarter mile times than me but how do you think your times equate to driving on the street?
Are you guys just as fast on the street, or atleast close?

Obviously if you have a 4x4 thats a different story. But im really starting to wonder how you 2wd guys are getting traction

 

our trucks get traction? is this a i dont know about. my truck will spin at least10 or 15 feet before it grabs. honestly, and i didnt do this on purpose, its just the sad neglect that sometimes happens to my truck, after about 2 months without airing up the tires my michelins will stick to the street like white on rice and a paper plate in a windstorm. ok sorry got carried away

 

I run a 295/45/18 Toyo and don't have traction issues.

 

What times are you running? Do you run the same tires at the track?

 

I bought some Yokohama AVS for my truck and dry traction SUCKS big time. From a stop they will roast forever if I just nail it. Wet traction is good though.

 

Same problem I have 4.10's and new tires 255/70/16, I have been told to go to 295, and one person even suggested 305's, I think thats al ittle much but they do make a nice 295 for our trucks that runs about 180$ a Tire. Look here www.tirerack.com

I see only 2 285/70/16 tires, yokohama and bridgestone.

 

Easy, just get a 6,000 lb truck and your traction issues will go away.

 

I have only been once and it sucked. The traction was great. everything else sucked.
My palm took a dump so I could not adjust my nitrous and for some reason I thought my bottle was full but on the second run I could feel it fall off and when I took the bottle out it was empty.

so to say it went 9.6 in the 1/8 with no stall and just flat footing it is very misleading.

No I don't change tires for the track.

 

Im not far at 4500 lbs, but I think the problem is all my weight is over the front tires
