3.73 vs 3.90 ?

i went from 3.42's to 3.90's and i love them. they are a little higher than 4.10's. i have went on trips with them and they work great.

FYI, you'd be cruising at about 2300 rpms at 70mph with 4.10s and about 2200 rpms at 70 mph with the 3.90s.

In my opinion the extra gear is definitely worth it. You should top out 3rd at somewhere around 125 mph.

I went from 3.42 to 3.90 and i'm happy. One thing I really don't like about my 3.90's, after 60mph(61 up) it will not down shift to 2nd passing a car and feels like a dog. So i usually pull it down manually. I don't know if my downshifts can be changed with Edit. Anyone have this problem? Other than that, I like'm.

Good info. Thanks. That's not too bad @70. What kind of mileage do you get?

I say go with some 4.10's. I will soon be getting rid of my 3.73's on my 02 Sierra.

Im planning on doin a gear change also im doin it for performance but dont want to lose to many mpg my truck is 2wd
