For sure! I'm working on getting the final touches done to the truck and I will get some halfway decent sound clips this weekend or next week. The cam sounds kinda cool through the "Big OEM muffler".

just a guess but youre probably only losing 10-20hp thru full exhuast as long as that muffler isnt super baffled, and 5-10hp with cutout open imo which most people cant even tell the difference. You dont mention cats and thats the real hp killer.
get a full 4” diesel exhaust from the first y back and leave the cutout off, win win less to mess with.. my 2cents
I kinda figured the power loss would be negligible that's why I don't want to redo the entire system. With the cutout and Giant OEM muffler it really is "Quiet to Riot" I think my neighbors bone stock 2016 2500 6.0 has a louder idle. No I don't have any cats at all the first pic is exactly as it is.

Here is a master piece showing my final rendition. All parts needed add up to just under $700 and then of course labor will probably double that. I could save some money and buy cheaper V bands but I've had good luck with Vibrant in the past and reviews on the cheaper brands seem hit or miss.

I honestly don't see the reason to step up to 4" for just the cutout. Its not really gonna give you anything extra if you are already 3" piping up to that point. Why not put a 3" cutout after each resonator? Seems like a lot of extra if you already have 3" exhaust.

In my current setup the dual 3" comes to a single 3" resonator and then the cutout. So the main change is going from a 3" merge with a resonator as the bottle neck to a wide open 4". I do believe that trying to force everything through a single 3" resonator is a restriction to some extent. Also I feel the 4" cutout might give a deeper sound and I need to buy a 3" cutout for another project so that would save me money on that project.

I found my "Big Honkey" in Dallas at some exhaust shop who's name I cant remember. I believe he said it was a take off of a newer Ram 2500 with a gas motor. It takes up the entire area where the spare tire carrier used to be. But its silent as a mouse and has taken some serious abuse over the last 2 years without blowing out. Its probably extremely restrictive. Ill get a pic of it this evening.

He's going from dual 3" header collectors to a single 3" pipe that he has right now, to a dual 3" inlet Y pipe merge with 4" inch

So dual 3" to single 3" changing to dual 3" in single 4" out.

Dual 3" into single 3" is basically just running a single 3" and killing the point of having 3" collectors on the headers if you're gonna slam both of them into one 3" pipe. And even with 400 rwhp you'll see a gain going dual 3" or single 4" over single 3".

He's got a heads, cam, supercharged 6.0 if I recall correctly without going back and looking. That's gonna see a gain.

Most 3" merge pipes are designed pretty poorly

They have gotten better but few are designed as well as the flow master in this pic. ANYTHING that helps air flow smoothly and keep velocity helps.

This is a well designed 3" merge, but compare it to the flowmaster

Add on top of that its going from dual 3 to single 3, to a dual 3 to single 4 and it's going to help out quite a bit

This is a flowmaster dual 3 to single 4
