3 inch to X pipe
i have a 3 inch pipe ran off the catback to a y pipe to 2 2.5's out the back . now i wanna have them cut the 3 inch out and the small y pipe and just stick a x pipe in there with 2.5 inch piping . will i see a difference in performance ? or is there no point for me to do this . i have a 05 with a 5.3 and 3.73 locker , im getting the brute force intake and predator tuner soon . thanks for any help guys

So you have 3in. pipe coming off the y-pipe after the cats and it goes into another y-pipe into 2.5in. duals and you want to cut the y-pipe at the cats off and put in an x-pipe, right? If thats what you are saying then yes it'll make a difference. However; on the NBS trucks you don't really gain too much on an exhaust unless you are running lt headers. Btw, you can get a custom tune for less than the predator and will be a whole lot better.

ya i kno about custom tunes being cheaper . and im sorry for the confusing of the exhuast thats what im saying . but at my lovly dealership , he said he would have to void this and that and there not mod frieldly there . and i would get the tune but if they relfash it im screwed , but if i get a new pcm with one then i have to get a crank relaern most likely , now when my buddys malibu needed one theres was no one in town but chevy to do it , and if i go there and say that there gonna be like why blah blah . thats most likely confusing sorry i cant think now
