Those sound reducer cones actually work. And they work better than you think they will. They cut the sound in half.

They cut your wallet in half too!

I have wondered about them for a while.
It just seems like they would really disrupt the flow, even though a lot of people say they don't hurt perfomance.

wE GOT EM' ON A DRAG CAR AND IT DIDN'T AFFECT THE POWER ON THE DYNO. IT DYNO'D OUT AT 1400 HORSES WITH DYNATECH HEADERS. IT TURNED OUT TO BE TOO LOUD FOR THE TRACK WE WERE RACING IT AT..(YES THEY ACTUALLY HAVE A SOUND REQUIREMENT)....SO WE INSTALLED THE DYNATECH NOISE FILTER (THE CONES) AND IT DYNO'D AT THE SAME AMOUT OF POWER WITH NO LOSS.

I have some on order, I think I will put them in the headers them selves where it bolts up to the rest of the exhaust.

Is this a common problem with LTs?

I wonder what causes the 6.0s to resonate more than the others?
I was thinking about putting some LTs on mine. If the resonating is that bad, I'll just throw a muffler on instead.

Does anyone have a sound clip of longtubes and just bullet(s)? I was wondering if they're so good at cutting out the drone of a magnaflow, how would 2 bullets sound alone? I know it'll be loud on the outside, but what about drone around 1800-2k rpm's? Anyone?

Look in my photobucket account in my sig, there is a in cab video on the first page. LT's, no cats, duals into side by side dynamax bullets then into a 22" case magnaflow DI/DO muffler.

Joehawkz71 had PS LTs and ORY with 2 bullets.
I don't know if he has any clips, but he hated the sound, and changed it within weeks.
