Default 305 to a 350

In the next few weeks I'm swappin in a 350 for my tired old 305, Its gonna be T.B.I so wat should I do about my computer?

thow it away and get a carburetor..haha id guess your get a computer for the same year model out a 350..i dunno much about the tbi computers

Yep, thats is either have someone tune your current PCM for it or purchase one for a 350. Thats all I did when I swapped my 305 to 350 in my 87.

my boss has an 87 chevy that we put headers on it and took the fuel injection off and put an edelbrock multiport fuel injection and put a rear mounted turbo on it..woke it up abunch

You need a 350 chip and maybe injectors. I can't remember if the injectors are different though. Send an email to Brian Harris. You can find him at TBIChips.com. He is a real nice guy.

The puter should be the same, just change the chip. The computer for the 4.3 is the same also, for anyone wanting to swap out a 4.3 TBI truck to a V8 TBI. I always thought it would be a cool swap to take like a '93 or so S10 that had a 4.3 TBI and stick a 350 TBI in there. The engine harness would swap right over, the front accessories are the same, and all you would hafta do is change the chip in the ECM.

k thanks, ya i've got the 670cfm holley tbi in the mail right now. Will a jet performance chip do?
