31x12.5 SSRs on stock rims????
My buddy has a 02 ECSB 4x4 ( leveled with ford keys ) and he needs new tires but doesnt want to change his rims due to 1 he likes his stock ones and 2( and more importantly ) money. since these are wider than ur standard 31s would they be ok on the 16x7 ( also would the 5"bs cause a problem?)
Needs the wide tires as it goes to the sand dunes often.

they will work but are not recommended. really you need a 8 inch wide rims to make up the difference, you will also get a bald spot in the middle and with the ssr they wear very uneven needs to have them rotated every 5-7000 miles or they will get funky on you. I had them on my 97 z71

I had 33x12.50 SSR's on my stock wheels and becuase they are such a soft compound tire, they wore VERY badly down the middle. With a 31 inch tire it would probably be even worse. I only got about 10K miles out of those tires for that reason. I would not suggest it based on my " been there done that". He could probably find a harder compound tire like BFG's that would probably work better.
