Is 34" Radiator (6.0) a Direct Replacement for the 27" (5.3) Radiator??

The 34" wide radiator is a direct swap the only other thing you would have to change is the shroud but that is only if you keep the stock clutch fan. You said with the 28.5" radiator that your temps are 185-205 but how do you know this? Reason being is the stock temperature gauge in the dash is useless for telling anything other than if it is running hot or not, you have to use a scantool the get the temperature reading from the stock pcm or install a more accurate temp gauge. Just an example my gauge on my truck reads 190F where as the temperature is actually 177F.

I got mine from ebay... ~$40. It came from a Suburban. It's direct fit and cools consierably (sp? I'm tired ) better than the 28" core'd one did.
SOME of the 34" rads have a tranny heat exchanger and oil cooler. Oil cooler isn't really needed but is sure nice to have as extra cooling capacity.
DO NOT bypass the ATF cooler in the rad, that's the main way to pull heat from ATF.

I got my 6.0 34" radiator from LKQ Auto for $145 with the engine oil cooler built in. I then had to buy the oil cooler lines (1 piece) from GM & a gasket.
