heads depending on which ones you get will help out a lot search for cams and you will find that a lot of those can give you an increase of over 35 rwhp like the zo6 cam for instance but that will drop your low end a tad for a huge top end pull increase and everybody seems to like TOG headers but i like ASM headers personally (even though i could not afford then ) a nitrouse kit will prolly get you there alone if you are not afraid to give that a shot haha do not forget about my favorite my TCISF3000 although you will also hear a ton of good stuff about vigilante and yank because that along with some gears will easily take off a half second in the quarter read some posts on that and some gears i think i am going to spend maybe 4k and am hoping for under a 13 quarter but i am also getting all the work done for free good luck and like i said earlier look >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
for good stuff i like tbyrne and arizona speed and marine (ASM)

Some of your top mods should be:

-Gears (4.10s are a good choice b/c of the OD in the tranny)
-Converter maybe a shift kit too
-LT headers
-decent catback
-custom (or dyno) tune
-nitrous (if you don't want to go inside the engine)

Relatively cheap stuff that will get you moving quick in a hurry.

The big stuff like blowers, heads, cams, etc. will really wake the truck up, but cost a **** load.

What motor are we talking about here 5.3L?

I don't see a 5.3 putting out 375 RWHP NA and still be driveable (in a truck), it could be done, fully ported heads, high compression, and a huge cam, but you'd have to spin it to around 7000rpm.

6.0L 400rwhp is easily done.

I hope you're right on the last part. I need to go to the dyno and find out.

I think I am running in the 350 - 360 rwhp range. I am going the guess 370 - 380 rwhp for you.

Chevy High Performance put stage II LS6 Patroit heads and cam on an LS1 and made 506 HP and 459 lb/ft, this is at the motor.

Engine Spec were
5.7L
cam - Patriot 226/226 at 0.050 .585/.585 lift on a 112 LSA
Compression - 9.5:1
Heads - Stage II Patroit LS6
intake - LS6 and FAST intake tested

Stock 428hp at 5900 427ft/lbs at 5000rpm

Heads, cam, LS6 intake 506hp at 6400 459ft/lbs at 5000rpm

Added Fast intake 522 at 6600 466ft/lbs at 5100rpm

I figure - 25% should give rwhp. they are not running any accessories.

Add more displacement, compression, maybe a little more cam, should be well over 400rwhp with a 6.0L.

If you're looking for natural aspirated power, check into Intake, Exhaust, heads and a custom cam. I'm pretty sure you will lay down 350 at the wheels with a 5.3. And i forgot to add a custom tune in there.

Bone stock 6.0 with bolt-ons and a 212/218 cam gave me 350ish rwhp and rwtq.
