i made 338 @ the wheels justin with the black gmc made 340. all with 5.3 no heads

Do 4.8 pistons have the same compression height as a 5.3 piston? Is the rod length the same from a 4.8 to a 5.3? Pistons from a L33 5.3 are another possible solution.

Unless you mill the LS6 heads, you'll lose compression on a 5.3.

4.8 pistons will not raise compression in a 5.3. They are the same motors, the only thing different is the stroke. The heads are the same too, just different numbers.

4.8 pistons are flat tops and 5.3 are dish.

The 4.8 uses a longer rod, not sure on the length, 6.285 I think

The 4.8 pistons will "bolt" in to the 5.3
