Default 350 SBC: dual carb question

I am building a SBC for a guy who has requested to stay as close to my personal SBC's specs as possible except his will be carb'd instead of F.I.

Specs:

.040" over 350
standard crank & rods
Vortec heads
LT4 Hot Cam & 1.6 RR's
H345NCP-40 pistons, 10.2-1 compression

My guy has requested to run a dual carb intake with Carter AFB carbs. However I can not find a Edelbrock carb under 500cfm, and he believes more CFM the better. I tell him this engine probably shouldn't have anything larger than 650cfm max. And he will not use Holley carbs, were I could use two 360cfm's.

I am reluctant to throw 1000cfm on this engine (even though I see dual 500CFm carb & intake kits for SBC) in the name of making it run & drive like total crap and having somebody disappointed in one of my builds. Is there anything I can do to accommodate this guy? Can I jet & rod the AFB's down enough to let the engine think it's seeing a smaller induction? Or is there a carb similar to the AFB's with a low CFM flow I can introduce this guy to?

Thanks guys ~Mykk

no, the dual Holley setup is the only way...that'd be way too much fuel for that motor...750cfm MAX...
